Investing alongside you

Capital, or a subordinated loan, plus entrepreneurs who come on board.

Your business has customers, a working model and room to grow. For the next step, you could use extra capital, and people who roll up their sleeves.

Money, and people who work with you

In a limited number of established businesses, we step in alongside you. That can be an investment in exchange for shares, usually a minority stake, or a subordinated loan when you would rather not give up equity. Which form fits, we decide together. On top of that, we work on the growth plan ourselves.

That work is paid separately and is not a condition. We usually do agree it, because an investment only pays off when the plan is actually carried out. If you only want capital, that is possible too: the investment and our work are two separate agreements.

Is this a fit for your business?

What we look for

  • An established business with customers and a working business model, usually in services.
  • In Flanders, with around 5 to 50 employees.
  • A concrete growth step, where you can explain what the capital makes possible.
  • Room where our practical experience can really make a difference.

Outside our focus

  • Start-ups.
  • Businesses in financial difficulty.
  • Software or AI developers.
  • A full takeover or a full-time role in one business.

How it works

  1. 01

    Getting acquainted

Tell us about your business, the next step and the help you are looking for. You don’t need to share confidential figures at this stage.

  2. 02

    Looking at it together

If it fits for both sides, we look further at the business and its funding needs. We include the cost of our work in the overall plan.

  3. 03

    Making agreements

We set out how much we put in and in what form, what stands against it in shares or in the terms of the loan, how much we work alongside you and which decisions we are involved in.

  4. 04

    Getting to work

We help carry out the growth plan and regularly discuss progress and next steps.

  5. 05

    Stepping back

The aim is for your business to carry on independently. Scaling down our involvement and selling our shares are separate decisions, and we agree the timing together. There is no automatic repayment after one year.

Frequently asked questions

Do we also have to pay you to work alongside us?

No, that is not a condition. We usually do agree it, because an investment only pays off when the plan is carried out, but you can also agree capital alone.

Do I have to give up shares?

No. A subordinated loan is a full alternative when you need the capital but want to keep ownership in your own hands. We discuss which form suits your plans.

Do you take a majority?

No. We go for a minority stake. You stay at the helm; we come on board.

How much do you invest?

That depends on the case and on what the growth step requires. We set the amount together with the plan, not in advance.

What if it does not click?

Then we stop after the introductory conversation. We only invest where we can also contribute with our hands, and that takes trust on both sides.

How long do you stay on board?

The aim is for your business to continue on its own. Winding down our involvement and settling our shares or loan are separate decisions whose timing we agree together.
