Strategy, execution and AI for SMEs

Entrepreneurial strength on board

Which direction do you want to take your business? What needs to happen but never gets off the ground? And where could AI make your work easier? We think it through with you, make clear choices together, and get to work alongside you and your team.

How you can bring us in

You choose what fits your question.

Set your course

Which direction do we take, and what comes first? Two or three consecutive days with the owner or the management team, away from the daily rush. You leave with decisions about direction and priorities, and with agreements about who takes on which action.

On Board

This needs doing, but nobody picks it up. We agree a clearly bounded assignment and work it out together with your own people: set up a sales approach, improve processes, organise recruitment. Project-based or an agreed number of days per week or month. No prior strategy exercise needed.

AI in your SME

Where is AI useful for us, and how do we introduce it? We explore where AI can make a difference in your operation, set the priorities together, choose an application and put it in place. And we teach your people to work with it, because that is what determines whether it gets used.

We also invest alongside you

In a limited number of established growth businesses, we also step in financially, with a minority stake in shares or with a subordinated loan. That is a separate option with its own ground rules: an investment is never a condition for working with us, and the other way round neither.

What working alongside you looks like

These are examples of assignments as we agree them. What shape yours takes, we determine during the introduction.

Set up a sales approach

Define how prospects are followed up, how quotes are built and who is responsible for what, and put that in place together with your sales people.

Improve working processes

Map how the work runs today, take out bottlenecks and duplicated effort, and get the new way of working adopted by your team.

Organise recruitment

Sharpen a role, set up the search, help assess candidates and structure the selection.

Get marketing on track

Sharpen positioning and message, build a plan and organise the execution with your own people or suppliers.

See your figures clearly

Make margins, costs and cash requirements visible, so growth decisions rest on numbers instead of instinct.

Introduce an AI application

Establish where AI saves time or errors, choose an application, set it up with your own data and teach your people to work with it.

Or do you recognise a stage of your business?

How a collaboration starts

  1. 01

    Clarify the question

We come to you and listen. What is going on, what have you already tried and what should be different? That conversation is free and commits you to nothing.

  2. 02

Agree the assignment and the involvement

We define which work we take on, who is responsible for what, how much time it needs and what it costs. That is settled before we start.

  3. 03

    Execute and review progress

At agreed moments we look together at what is moving and decide whether to adjust, continue or finish.

Ilona and Wim

You work directly with the two of us. We took over staffing company Staffing through a management buy-out in 2016 and reworked its commercial approach and the organisation of the work; at the sale in 2018 it turned over thirty million euros. At tour operator Caractère we rebuilt the business model when COVID shut down the travel industry, and sold the company in March 2026.

That experience comes from our own companies, not from client assignments. What of it is useful for your business, we work out together.

What we do and what we don’t do

How we work with you

You can bring us in for this

  • Structure growth the way we did it ourselves, from buy-out to thirty million euros in revenue.
  • Clarify vision, strategy and priorities with the owner and the team.
  • Get sales in order and close the gap with day-to-day operations.
  • Improve processes and address costs and returns.
  • Take on agreed work in marketing, IT, finance, recruitment and operations.
  • Help with recruitment and the daily running of the business.
  • Explore AI opportunities, choose an application and introduce it where it genuinely pays off.
  • Guide acquisitions and integrations, and make sure strategy is actually carried out.
  • Invest alongside selected businesses, with shares or a subordinated loan.

Not for this

  • Write thick reports that disappear into a drawer.
  • Long, expensive consultancy engagements without an end.
  • Jargon and marketing waffle.
  • Theoretical strategy papers without an action plan.
  • Day-to-day interim cover over the long run.
  • Be all things to all people.
  • AI hype, tool demos or technology for its own sake.
  • Invest in start-ups, distressed businesses or software and AI developers.
